Get the knowledge of Neoteric Frontiers in Cloud and Edge Computing with the upcoming VIT Webinars
VIT is proud to offer a free online webinar series for
anyone interested in learning more about information systems and industry best
practices that drive software, hardware, and efficiency / innovation. in
organizations around the world.
The VIT Webinars
are offered by the world's largest companies in their respective fields and
represent decades of professional experience. The collaborative learning you
will get from these webinars is invaluable in challenging your current thoughts
and expanding your horizons on how to become a true global leader in business, management,
and information technology systems (STI).
The IT world is changing rapidly. In this webinar you will
meet an international cloud computing expert, to explore the latest innovations
in this field, including the innovative architecture for creating elastic
clouds and the experimental results of the use of the cloud and big data / IoT
applications, deep learning / artificial intelligence, satellite image processing
and much more. Join in and stay connected to the 21st century vision for
computers.
In a cloud computing architecture, all data is gathered and
processed in a centralized location, usually in a data centre. All devices that
need to access this data or use applications associated with it must first
connect to the cloud. Since everything is centralized, the cloud is generally
easy to secure and control while still allowing for reliable remote access.
The "edge" refers to an IT infrastructure close to
the original data sources. It is a distributed IT architecture and
infrastructure in which data is processed at the edge of the network as close
as possible to the original source.
Fortunately, the choice of advanced computing or the cloud
with Neoteric Frontiers in Cloud and Edge Computing is a suggestion of one or
the other. With the proliferation and performance of IoT devices, companies
must implement efficient, state-of-the-art IT architectures to exploit the
potential of this technology. By integrating cutting edge computing with
centralized cloud computing (a network infrastructure sometimes referred to as
fog computing), organizations can maximize the potential of both approaches while
minimizing their limitations. Many of them will try to do this by merging their
IT infrastructure with a data centre.
In this upcoming webinar
of VIT Australia Webinars on new business improvement opportunities, we provide
insights into business process improvement and business process modelling. We
will also examine the management of business processes and enterprise systems
for efficient and innovative management.
For all the people, machines, and things that are expected
to generate 800 zettabytes of data by 2020, storage issues are unlikely to go
away anytime soon. Cisco estimates that IoT devices alone will be 85 zettabytes
in size. In most advanced computer architectures, much of this data is
ultimately deleted because the devices on which it is being collected do not
have enough storage space. Even if they could store it all, accessing and
backing up all this unstructured data would be a logistical nightmare.
Benefits of Neoteric Frontiers in Cloud and Edge Computing
Edge computing is used to
manipulate the definition of computing resources for optimal processing you can
know about it in VIT Available
Webinars.
·
Time-critical data can be processed at the place
of origin by a localized processor (a device with its own computing capacity).
·
Intermediate servers can be used to process data
in close geographic proximity to the source (this assumes that the intermediate
latency is correct, although real-time decision making should be as close as
possible.
·
Cloud servers can be used to process less urgent
data or to store data over the long term. With IoT, this manifest is shown in
analytics dashboards.
·
Edge application services dramatically reduce
the amount of data that needs to be moved, the resulting traffic, and the
distance that data must travel. This reduces transmission costs, reduces latency,
and improves quality of service (QoS) (source).
·
Edge computing removes a major bottleneck and
potential point of failure by less stressing the dependency on the base
computing environment.
·
Security improves as encrypted data is verified
as it passes through protected firewalls and other security points where
viruses, compromised data, and active hackers can be detected early.
·
The periphery is based on scalability, as the
functions of the CPU are logically grouped as required, which reduces the costs
for real-time data transmission.
By combining the data collection potential of advanced
computing with the storage capacity and processing power of the cloud, companies
can get their IoT devices up and running quickly and efficiently without losing
valuable analytical data that could help them improve services and drive
innovation.
It is unlikely that the future of network infrastructure
will only be on the edge or in the cloud, but somewhere in between. As companies
try to transform these two models and integrate them more effectively, they are
sure to find new ways to get the most out of their respective advantages and
use them to overcome their weaknesses.
